We have recently discovered Little Green Radicals and are fast becoming a bit too obsessed! What’s not to like though, recycled materials, organic materials, fairtrade materials… a real gem in the eco shopping maze.

We need clothes that will keep up with our daughter’s lifestyle. She loves being outside, stomping through puddles, paddling in the river and never tires of rides in the backpack (poor daddy!) We need outdoor clothing that will allow her to flourish and enjoy her childhood, whilst also being kind to her skin and protecting her planet.

We chose the recycled raincoat and fluffy cloud recycled waterproof lined dungarees (I think these have been discontinued but there are plenty of other options) from Little Green Radicals and our daughter loves them. We are obsessed with the colour blue and don’t always like to match styles, so we chose the Leo Line raincoat and fluffy cloud dungarees, but there are plenty of different combinations or you can buy a matching pair. We chose two separate pieces, instead of an all-in-one as we find it allows for greater flexibility. However, there are all-in-one options if you prefer.

Raincoat

This is made from 100% recycled polyester and has an organic and fairtrade cotton lining. It comes up quite large (we got 3-4 years and our daughter just turned 3) but it means there is plenty of growing room, and it works well. It has a hood with a popper to keep it in place and a super cute pocket on the front. Our daughter gets so excited when she wears this.

Dungarees

These are made from 100% recycled polyester and have an organic and fairtrade cotton lining. Our daughter finds them super soft against her skin and she looks so adorable in them. We find as dungarees they are much more secure than trousers and offer greater adjustability with the straps. There are also some nifty poppers on the side to make them bigger or smaller. The little pocket on the front is super cute! The stirrups are ideal for securing under wellies or walking boots and these trousers have performed really well for our daughter, and giver her plenty of growing room, so great value for money. Our daughter had just turned 3 when we bought them and a size 3-4 years was perfect.

Overall, we were very impressed with the raingear and our daughter really enjoys putting it through its paces whilst out and about exploring.
